Antitrust Regulation in the Age of Algorithmic Collusion: Risks, Challenges, and Mitigation Strategies

Abstract: Algorithmic collusion, leveraging the technological characteristics of deep learning and autonomous decision-making, transcends the established boundaries of traditional antitrust regulation concerning the identification of collusive agreements, the determination of liability, and the collection of evidence. Drawing upon the RealPage Pricing Algorithm matter and the Gibson v. Cendyn Grp. case, this study examines the operational logic and potential legal risks associated with algorithmic collusion, comparing the fundamental differences between the two instances in terms of algorithm functional design and market intervention effects. Addressing the regulatory challenges inherent in algorithmic collusion-specifically concerning the establishment of concertation ('meeting of minds'), evidence gathering, and liability allocation-this paper proposes a core strategy centered on multi-dimensional technical governance. This strategy aims to curb anomalous pricing behavior through mechanisms such as algorithmic 'speed bumps' and pricing constraints, combined with enhanced trace supervision via log recording, real-time monitoring, and the application of explainability techniques. Furthermore, it suggests utilizing an autonomy scoring model to establish a tiered evaluation framework for liability allocation. The study posits that, predicated on the monitoring and identification of anomalous market behavior, the utilization of indirect evidence and economic analysis can be instrumental in revealing the non-competitive character of algorithmic collusion, thereby bolstering the basis for liability determination. Abstract: Structuralist human geography emerging between the 1960s and 1980s, its theoretical foundations stem from the interdisciplinary integration of linguistics, anthropology, and Marxism, emphasizing the revelation of deep-seated social structures and power relations behind spatial phenomena from holistic and systematic perspectives. The school has propelled geography from descriptive to explanatory research, introducing core theories such as “production of space,” “capitalist spatial logic,” and “urban political economy analysis”, providing critical perspectives for understanding socio-spatial relations. However, its tendency toward structural determinism and economic reductionism limits its ability to explain individual agency and new social phenomena. This paper constructs a framework for the whole life cycle management of cold chain logistics parks based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital twins, describes the technical paths of physical entity modelling, data acquisition and processing, and virtual-reality mapping and interaction, and systematically explores the application mechanism of this technology in the stages of planning, designing, construction and implementation as well as operation and maintenance. Abstract: China has now fully implemented the three-child policy. Women's reproduction is both the continuation of a family and the cultivation of new citizens for the nation and new labor power for society. Providing compensation for women's reproductive labor has become a consensus. However, with the opening of the three-child policy, the labor women undertake in reproduction-from pregnancy and childbirth to childcare, education, and ultimately nurturing qualified labor-requires increased energy and costs. How to reasonably distribute this increased burden has become a new social issue. This paper traces the evolution of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) policies concerning the "Four-Period" protection (pregnancy, postpartum, lactation, and menstruation periods) for female workers from 1951 to the present. Seeking to understand the epistemological foundation of this protection, the paper traces back to the founding of the CCP, exploring the initial ideological basis for constructing the "Four-Period" protection policy. Starting from the historical origins of the policies, it analyzes the underlying concepts behind the institutional design in different periods, the continuity and changes in the policy content itself, and the social practice of "Four-Period" protection at each stage. Thus, it presents the complete process of the construction and evolution of "Four-Period" protection over a long historical span, further exploring the discourse and changes in the social status of modern Chinese women. Cognitive Bias of Hate Crime Perpetrators: How Elaboration Theory Contributes to Intergroup Violence

Abstract: Hate crimes, as violent acts targeting group identities, have increasingly drawn the attention of social psychology and criminology due to the cognitive mechanisms underlying them. This paper adopts the elaboration likelihood model as an analytical framework to explore the role of cognitive biases in the formation of hate crimes, aiming to reveal the complex interactive relationships among information processing pathways, emotional factors, and group identity. The study first reviews the basic characteristics of hate crimes and the theoretical development of cognitive biases, then analyses their influence on criminal motives from the perspectives of stereotypes, attribution biases, and in-group and out-group identity. Building on this theoretical framework, the study further explores how the marginal route and emotional processing biases in the Elaboration Likelihood Model solidify prejudices, weaken reflection, and thereby trigger or amplify violent behaviour. This paper argues that cognitive biases do not exist in isolation but are shaped by information processing pathways and emotional responses, which together form the perpetrator's group hostility and tendency to justify their actions, providing psychological support for the occurrence of hate crimes.
